Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) seeks ambitious Postdoctoral Researchers for the Generative Biology Institute (GBI) in Oxford. You will join the Rehm Lab to develop next-generation evolution platforms and genomics-driven biology solutions.

You will design experiments, analyze data, and publish high-impact work while collaborating across teams and advancing translational opportunities in health and sustainability.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field (e.g. synthetic biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology).
• Proven ability to deliver ambitious research projects to a high standard.
• Strong track record in molecular biology or related fields.
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation; genomics or computational tools desirable.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively, and solve complex problems.
• Experience publishing in high-impact journals and presenting internationally.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills; collaboration across teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, execute, and trouble­shoot experiments; adapt methods for new applications.
• Analyse complex datasets using computational and statistical tools.
• Contribute to research direction and refine questions.
• Publish papers, reports, and protocols; present at conferences.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within GBI, EIT, and partners.
• Maintain research infrastructure and mentor junior researchers.
• Translate findings into translational opportunities aligned with EIT's mission.
• Identify opportunities for IP generation and protection.
