The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) in Oxford seeks a PhD-level researcher to join the Generative Biology Institute (GBI). You will work on multi-modal models of biology, genome engineering, and scalable phenotyping in close collaboration with AI, robotics, and wet-lab scientists.

You will design experiments, analyze data, publish impactful work, and mentor junior staff, contributing to a fast-paced, innovative research environment at the Oxford Science Park.

Formación

• PhD in a relevant field (e.g., synthetic biology, computational biology, genomics).
• Strong track record in delivering ambitious research projects to a high standard.
• Experience publishing in high-impact journals and presenting at international conferences.

Responsabilidades

• Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments, including genome engineering for diversity and scalable measurement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in synthetic biology, automation, bioinformatics, -omics and ML.
• Analyse complex datasets and interpret results to inform research direction.
• Mentor junior researchers and support PhD students and assistants.
• Publish high-quality papers, reports, and protocols; present at conferences and internal meetings.
