Ellison Institute of Technology in Oxford seeks Principal Investigators to lead independent research groups aligned with GBI’s vision of engineering biology for good. You will recruit, mentor, and collaborate across GBI and EIT to deliver bold, transformational research with potential commercial impact.

The role offers access to substantial core funding, state-of-the-art facilities, and the opportunity to participate in a doctoral program with the University of Oxford as part of the Gen­-erative

Formación

• PhD in synthetic biology, computational biology, genomics, or related field.
• Strong publication record demonstrating bold, transformational advances.
• Proven track record building collaborations with academia or industry.
• Excellent communication and leadership to engage senior researchers and stakeholders.
• Experience leading a group at Professor/Associate/Assistant level or potential.
• Experience in biotech/AI settings and translating research to industry.

Responsabilidades

• Set research direction for your group aligned with GBI’s vision.
• Recruit and manage a group of researchers, postdocs, students and staff.
• Mentor early career researchers to achieve goals and advance careers.
• Collaborate with other GBI groups and EIT colleagues to enable bold research.
• Help shape facilities and scientific strategy within GBI.
