Job summary

1000scholars invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Multifunctional Materials & Composites Laboratory at the Department of Engineering Science, Oxford. The appointment is EPSRC-funded and fixed-term to 30 November 2027.

Candidates should hold a PhD in materials chemistry/science/engineering with post-doctoral experience and a strong background in biomineralization, crystallization, microfluidics and spectroscopy, and be prepared to tackle complex experiments,

Qualifications

• PhD or near completion in a relevant materials chemistry/science/engineering discipline.
• Strong background in biomineralization and/or crystallization chemistry, microfluidics, solution synthesis, and spectroscopic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drive research towards developing breakthrough remineralizing solutions.
• Lead experimental campaigns, including 4D microscopy and potential synchrotron work.
