1000scholars invites applications for a two-year, fixed-term Research Fellow position in the group of Professor Swadzba-Kwasny, funded through an EPSRC Materials Innovation Partnership project and delivered in collaboration with Ionic Technologies.

The successful candidate will lead in materials synthesis and physicochemical characterisation, contribute to calcination and powder engineering for downstream metallisation, and participate in industrial-scale trials at Ionic Technologies.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry, materials science or related field; thesis submission within 3 months.
• Experience with multi-technique characterisation (e.g. pXRD, SEM/EDX, XRF).
• Ability to analyse, interpret, and critically evaluate data.
• Experience supervising research students and publishing work.
• Strong publication record for career stage.

Responsabilités

• Lead materials synthesis and physicochemical characterisation.
• Develop calcination and powder engineering processes for metallisation.
• Participate in industrial scale trials at Ionic Technologies.
• Prepare journal papers and/or contribute to patent applications.
