University of Oxford, Department of Engineering Science, invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to investigate pathways to hydroxyapatite remineralisation using 4D microscopy and microfluidics. The role focuses on experimental campaigns, data analysis, and developing remineralising solutions with a strong materials chemistry background.

The appointment is fixed-term to 30 November 2027, funded by EPSRC.

Formación

• PhD/DPhil in relevant materials field with postdoc experience.
• Strong background in biomineralization or crystallization chemistry, microfluidics, and spectroscopy.
• Willingness to engage in complex experimental campaigns (e.g., at synchrotron).

Responsabilidades

• Develop bottom-up experimental investigations of remineralisation pathways.
• Drive 4D microscopy and microfluidics experiments for the project.
• Lead data analysis and interpretation of results to advance understanding.
• Collaborate with the MMC Laboratory and EPSRC-funded project team.
