Job summary
The University of Oxford is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to implement bespoke experimental assays for bone cancer studies. You will work with a team to plan studies and develop questions within spatial proteomics, analysing detailed qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources.
Candidates should hold or be near completion of a PhD/DPhil in Chemistry, Biology or related fields, with extensive mass spectrometry-based proteomics experience on Thermo and Bruker platforms.
Qualifications
- PhD/DPhil in Chemistry, Biology or related field with extensive mass spectrometry-based proteomics experience.
- Expert knowledge in design and analysis of proteomics experiments and in spatial proteomics (laser capture).
- Desirable: genetics of human disease research experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide and implement bespoke experimental assays for bone cancer studies.
- Develop research questions within spatial proteomics and analyse complex data from multiple sources.
- Contribute ideas for new research projects and for generating research income, including grant writing.
