Job summary

Medical Research Council (MRC) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Spatial Lineage Tracing and Single-Cell Multiomics at the Hammersmith London site. The role focuses on developing methods to recover lineage information with spatial coordinates and applying them to human tissue studies.

The post is 3 years fixed term, full-time, with London allowances and a training/settlement allowance. Close collaboration with LMS core facilities and external partners is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in genomics or molecular biology, computational biology, bioengineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience with high-throughput sequencing data and computational analysis.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out research aligned with project aims, taking initiative.
• Develop, optimise, and benchmark new experimental and computational methods.
• Generate and analyse large single-cell and spatial sequencing datasets.
• Maintain clear, reproducible records of work.
