Job summary

The University of Oxford is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Biomaterials and Biofabrication to join Professor Molly Stevens in the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery, within the DPAG. This full-time fixed-term appointment is based at the Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin Building in Oxford, beginning January 2025; 18 months or until 31 July 2026.

Part-time arrangements may be considered.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a PhD/DPhil in chemistry, materials science, biomaterials, bioengineering or related field.
• Strong record of peer‑reviewed publications and demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in hydrogel development, hybrid biomaterials, and advanced characterization is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydrogel systems and hybrid biomaterials for biomedical applications.
• Design, fabricate and characterize bioactive materials and interfaces for regenerative therapies.
• Collaborate across disciplines and with international partners; contribute to publications.
