Job summary

Swift Temps Ltd is recruiting Postal Delivery Workers in Bishop Auckland for a hands-on, outdoor role delivering letters and parcels on established routes. You will walk and drive as needed, using handheld devices, with shifts 8:00 am–2:00 pm or 2:00 pm–8:00 pm, 30 hours weekly; weekend work may be required.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, up to six penalty points, and a DBS check. Prior delivery or customer service experience is welcome but not essential; the team values

SWIFT Temps Ltd are working in partnership with Royal Mail to recruit Postal Delivery Workers to support their busy operation in Bishop Auckland DL14

The Role

You will be responsible for sorting and preparing mail before heading out on your allocated delivery route. You will deliver letters and parcels to homes and businesses throughout the local community.

• Sorting and preparing letters and parcels
• Delivering mail and parcels safely and efficiently
• Following allocated delivery routes
• Using a handheld device to manage deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Walking for extended periods during your delivery round
