Job summary

Swift Temps Ltd is recruiting Postal Delivery Workers in Bishop Auckland for a hands-on, outdoor role delivering letters and parcels on established routes. You will walk and drive as needed, using handheld devices, with shifts 8:00 am–2:00 pm or 2:00 pm–8:00 pm, 30 hours weekly; weekend work may be required.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, up to six penalty points, and a DBS check. Prior delivery or customer service experience is welcome but not essential; the team values

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence at your current UK address
• Maximum 6 penalty points
• Must successfully complete a DBS security check
• Experience in delivery or customer service is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Sorting and preparing mail before heading out on your delivery route
• Delivering letters and parcels to homes and businesses
• Following allocated delivery routes
• Using a handheld device to manage deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Walking for extended periods during your delivery round
