Job summary

Royal Mail in Tonbridge is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a permanent basis. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build strong relationships with customers in your local area, working outdoors in all weather.

The role offers a 30-hour week across 5 days, with rotating shifts including weekends. Full training, a uniform, and a safety-focused team environment are provided.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30.00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday working either 08:00 - 15:00 or 12:00 - 19:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

What To Expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
