Job summary

Royal Mail in Strabane is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join our team. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot across Strabane, with a 37-hour week and a rotating shift including some weekends.

We provide full training, a uniform, and a reliable red van. You should hold a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points), be able to pass a driving assessment, be physically fit for outdoor work, and enjoy working independently to serve customers.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.Working hours: 37:00hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 08:10/15:30*

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
