Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Selby is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term basis to deliver letters and parcels across the local area. The role involves a 30-hour week, some weekend work, and a requirement to work Sunday shifts from York Delivery Office.

You’ll be trained, provided with a uniform and a red Royal Mail van, and must hold a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points. Overtime is paid and shifts are across 5 days in 7.

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.Working hours: 30:00hours per week - working 5days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 09:00 - 15:45/12:00 - 18:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays at York Delivery Office 11-5.
