Royal Mail in Kyle delivers letters and parcels as a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term, 9-month basis. The role involves sorting at the delivery office, delivering by van and on foot in Kyle, and building strong customer relationships while working outdoors in all weather. A full manual UK driving licence and physical fitness are required.

The position offers 37 hours per week, 5 days on a rotating schedule (Mon–Sat, 09:15–17:45), with overtime opportunities and a monthly pay cycle.

Job type: Fixed Term contract 9 Months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 37:00 hours per week – working 5 days across 6 across Monday - Saturday – 09:15/17:45*

What To Expect

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
