Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Hyde to deliver letters and parcels on a fixed term contract. You’ll work 33 hours per week across five days in seven, with early starts and Sundays on a rota. The role is outdoors in all weather and requires a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).

You’ll receive full training, a uniform and a red Royal Mail van. The position offers job variety, community contact, and pension and wellbeing support.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 33:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 08:00-14:00 / 13:00-20:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays on a rota basis.
