Job summary

Royal Mail in Knutsford is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term contract of 9 months. You will deliver letters and parcels, sort mail and interact with customers on your route, while working 30 hours per week on rotating shifts, including weekends.

You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points) and be able to pass a van driving assessment. Training is provided, with a uniform and a Royal Mail van supplied.

Location: Knutsford Delivery Office, WA16 8AA

Job type: Fixed Term contract 9 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 4 or 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 0820/1520*

What You’ll Do

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays at Knutsford Delivery Office Delivery Office 1 in every 5 weeks, may vary in peak times.

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags

• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
