Royal Mail in Henley-on-Thames is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to sort letters and parcels, and deliver them by van or on foot across the local area. You will build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather.

Training is provided and you will participate in a rotating shift, including some weekends. The role offers 35 hours per week across five days in seven, with overtime available and a straightforward operational routine.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 35.00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Saturday – 08:00/16:00*

What To Expect

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
