Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Goole. The role involves sorting at the delivery office, delivering letters and parcels by van or on foot, and building relationships with customers. Expect outdoor work, 30 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, with some weekend shifts and a 6-month fixed term.

You will receive full training, a Royal Mail van, and a uniform. Full UK manual driving licence required; driving assessment will be conducted. Overtime is paid.

Location: Goole Delivery Office, DN14 6DA

Job type: Fixed Term contract 6 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available. Working hours: 30:00 hours per week - working 5days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 07:00/16:00*

You'll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You'll be required to work Sundays at GooleDelivery Office.

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)

About you
