Royal Mail in Cowbridge is looking for a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join our team. You will deliver letters and parcels in your local area, work outdoors in all weather, and build relationships with customers on your route.

This fixed-term role runs 6 months with a rotating shift and weekend work. You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk long distances, and pass a driving assessment.

Location: Vale of Glamorgan Delivery Office, CF71 7PG

Job type: Fixed Term contract (6 months)

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 32hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 8:30/15:30*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods
