Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie in Congleton to deliver letters and parcels on a 30-hour weekly schedule. The role runs on a fixed term contract of 9 months, with a rota across 5 days in 7, including weekends, and Sundays at Crewe Delivery Office.

You will drive a Royal Mail van, walk routes, and engage with customers while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

Job type: Fixed Term

Contract: 9 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 08:00/16:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
