Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) at Mold Delivery Office to deliver letters and parcels across the local area. The role involves physical activity, outdoor work, and working in rotating shifts including weekends.

Training and a uniform are provided, with a red Royal Mail van for daily deliveries. You'll be part of a friendly team on a fixed-term contract of six months, with 30 hours per week and paid overtime.

Location: Mold Delivery Office, CH7 1AA

Job type: Fixed Termcontract, 6 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 30:00hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - supporting two separate shifts between 08:00/18:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work 1/3 Sundays at Chester Delivery Office.

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
