Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Weymouth is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract of 6 months. You will deliver letters and parcels in Weymouth, working a 37-hour week on a rotating schedule that includes weekends and Sundays at Dorchester.

You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk long distances, and comfortable outdoors. Training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van are provided, with paid overtime and access to great benefits.

Location: Weymouth Delivery Office, DT4 8AH

Job type: Fixed Termcontract, 6 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 37hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday to Sunday - supporting two separate shifts between 07:30/18:00*

You'll be required to work Sundays at Dorchester Delivery Office.

About you

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated

• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
