Job summary

Royal Mail in Halifax is seeking a Postie to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm hours and routes, and you may work Sundays at Halifax Delivery Office between 08:30-14:30.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and a iconic red van. The role involves walking long distances, outdoor work in all weather, and building customer relationships as part of delivering more than mail.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
