Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a delivery driver (Postie) for Llanrwst. You will join a rotating shift that may include Sundays and weekends, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area. You’ll build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weather.

This role requires a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points), the ability to pass a driving assessment, and physical fitness for long walks and lifting mailbags. Training, a uniform and a red van are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Able to pass a driving assessment conducted by Royal Mail.
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.

What to expect

• This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:
• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily
• Working in all weather conditions
• Delivering letters and high volumes of parcels
• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods
• We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:
• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
