Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting a Post-16 Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND College in Sutton Coldfield. The role is full-time and long-term, Monday to Friday 8am-4pm, with a daily rate of £95-£110.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with individual learning plans and EHCP targets, and support learners with personal care, communication, and independent living skills while applying safeguarding and positive behaviour strategies.

Qualifications

• Relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience with SEND
• Experience with post-16 learners with SEND and challenging behaviour
• Knowledge of EHCPs and individualised learning support
• Comfort with safeguarding procedures and promoting independence
• Patient, resilient and adaptable with strong communication
• Understanding of personal care and wellbeing needs

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to post-16 learners
• Assist with individual learning plans and EHCP targets
• Manage challenging behaviour using positive strategies
• Support personal care, communication and community activities
• Promote independent living skills and learner confidence
