Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust in Doncaster is recruiting a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join the Community Learning Disability Team. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, develop and implement PBS plans to support people with learning disabilities and autism who present with behaviours of concern.

The role focuses on person-centred care, trauma-informed practice, training staff, and contributing to service development and quality

Responsibilities

• Complete specialist functional assessments and formulations for people with learning disabilities and autism who present with behaviours of concern.
• Develop, implement and review Positive Behaviour Support plans in partnership with individuals, families, carers and professionals.
• Provide specialist PBS advice, guidance and consultation to colleagues, support providers and partner agencies.
• Manage a defined caseload and contribute to holistic assessment, intervention and care planning within the MDT.
• Deliver PBS-related training, coaching and support to staff, carers and other stakeholders.
• Promote trauma-informed, evidence-based and person-centred approaches in all aspects of practice.
• Contribute to service development, clinical governance, quality improvement and audit activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with safeguarding, confidentiality and professional standards.
