Job summary

Sirona care and health CIC invites applications for a Positive Behaviour Support Assistant in the Adult Learning Disability Health service. You will join a specialist team to develop and implement PBS plans and coach families and professionals to provide effective support.

You will deliver training and work across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire to promote person-centred care. NHS benefits and development opportunities are highlighted in the package.

Qualifications

• Experience with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and driving licence.
• Experience in health or social care settings and multi-professional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary team on person-centred assessment, formulation, and evaluation of behaviour plans.
• Undertake behavioural observations to inform functional assessment.
• Implement PBS strategies and support service users and carers in plan execution.
• Help service users access mainstream services and advise on reasonable adjustments.
• Demonstrate empathy and effective communication across all interactions.
• Use de-escalation and low-arousal techniques in challenging situations.
• Make information accessible to people with learning disabilities.
• Highlight and report poor practice as appropriate.
