Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust in Doncaster invites a PBS Practitioner to join our Community Learning Disability Team. You will deliver evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, aiming to reduce behaviours of concern and promote independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, nursing, behavioural therapy or related field.
• HCPC/NMC/Social Work England registration as appropriate.
• Recognised PBS qualification with applied PBS training.

Responsibilities

• Complete specialist functional assessments and formulations for people with learning disabilities and autism with behaviours of concern.
• Develop, implement and review Positive Behaviour Support plans with individuals, families and professionals.
• Provide PBS advice, guidance and consultation to colleagues and partner agencies.
• Manage a defined caseload within the MDT, contributing to holistic assessment and care planning.
• Deliver PBS-related training, coaching and support to staff, carers and other stakeholders.
• Promote trauma-informed, evidence-based and person-centred approaches in practice.
• Contribute to service development, governance and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure safeguarding and confidentiality.
