Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in Lambeth is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join the MHLD service. You will conduct person-centred behavioural assessments and deliver Positive Behavioural Support interventions in the community and home settings.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, receive supervision from a psychologist, and contribute to training and service development.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of applied behavioural assessment and treatment of clients with a range of needs of a complex nature.
• Experience and knowledge of the practice of Positive Behavioural Support, including training and MDT collaboration.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and provide culturally sensitive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide applied behavioural assessment and intervention for clients with challenging behaviours.
• Employ Positive Behavioural Support principles in all clinical work with MDT colleagues.
• Strengthen local services through training, consultation and modelling.
• Contribute to creating psychologically safe environments and staff development.
