Job summary

Voyage-Care is seeking a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Group Support team. This home-based role with travel across services involves developing and implementing high-quality PBS plans to improve outcomes for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

You will conduct FBAs, design person-centred PBS plans, monitor outcomes, and mentor colleagues to embed PBS into daily practice.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support or a related field.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and behaviours of concern.
• A strong understanding of PBS principles and evidence-based behavioural interventions.
• Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
• A flexible, solution-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and developing evidence-based behavioural formulations.
• Designing and implementing person-centred PBS plans.
• Monitoring outcomes and using data to drive improvements in quality of life.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues to embed PBS into everyday practice.
• Delivering specialist training and enhancing workforce capability.
• Supporting complex cases through consultation, direct intervention and practice leadership.
• Working collaboratively with families, commissioners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Promoting ethical, least restrictive and human rights-based approaches throughout service delivery.
