Job summary

The University of Sheffield AMRC North West invites a proactive Project Delivery professional to join our team. You will support and manage project delivery across multiple groups, helping ensure timely reports, finance status, and stakeholder communications.

The role requires strong organisation, PM experience, and a proactive approach to coordinating complex portfolios within a research environment.

Qualifications

• Significant Project Coordinator / project support experience.
• Client facing / customer service experience at team level.
• IT skills across Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project (intermediate to advanced).
• Effective written and verbal communication, report writing, presentations.
• Extremely organised with a methodical, structured approach and attention to detail.
• Ability to track and support finances within a large portfolio of work.
• Ability to analyse and solve problems with longer-term implications.
• Experience with waterfall, hybrid and agile PM approaches.
• Awareness of risk management.
• PM qualification (PFQ, Prince 2, Agile or equivalent) or demonstrable experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer and deliver team projects within the PMRC portfolio.
• Research, collate and edit material for reports and documents.
• Interpret and communicate results to project managers and stakeholders.
• Present work and data to internal and external stakeholders professionally.
• Assist in securing partnership projects and maintain partnerships with AMRC partner companies.
• Plan tasks over short-medium term and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
• Monitor milestones, finances, resourcing and quality within a large portfolio.
• Support preparation for presentations to internal/external stakeholders.
