Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an experienced Energy Portfolio Manager to lead management of large customer energy portfolios and oversee a team of Portfolio Analysts. The role emphasizes data accuracy, supplier relationships, and delivering reliable insights.

You will coordinate changes across estates, sites, meters and suppliers, handle escalations, and produce contractual reports while engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

• Proven track record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships through excellent stakeholder management and customer service.
• Strong knowledge of UK energy markets, including transmission and distribution frameworks, renewable energy policies, and industry support mechanisms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access) with the ability to apply strategic tools and data analysis to complex business challenges.

The successful candidate will be based in London, Northampton or another Mitie office, but also be expected to attend meetings at customer sites from time to time. Flexible working from home is available 2-3 days per week at management's discretion.
