Job summary

South East Water seeks a Portfolio Data and Reporting Lead to translate complex project data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the organisation.

You will act as the data guardian within the central PMO, ensuring data integrity and breaking down silos to provide a single source of truth for decision making at board level. You design reporting frameworks and develop Power BI dashboards to enable self-service insights.

Qualifications

• Requires training in Data Analysis and certification in data visualization tools (Power BI).
• PMO foundation certification or Project Management background is preferred.
• Advanced data visualization and storytelling skills (Power BI) are essential.
• Leadership to drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets.
• Proficiency with Google platform for collaboration and reporting.
• Ability to manage and influence all levels of stakeholders.
• Adaptive communication to tailor complex messages for varied audiences.
• Excellent stakeholder communication for managing reporting calendars.
• Experience designing and managing reporting frameworks in complex project environments.
• Experience aggregating data from planning, controls, and risk functions.
• Operational knowledge as a data guardian to ensure data quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage the PMO's reporting framework for standard content, frequency, and audiences.
• Aggregate data from planning, controls, and risk to form a holistic portfolio view.
• Create intuitive Power BI dashboards for self-service access by stakeholders.
• Develop and execute materials for Board updates and reviews.
• Implement data quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy and trust.
• Manage the PMO reporting calendar and communications to reach the right audiences.
• Analyze trends and variances to provide actionable insights beyond dumps.
• Automate data collection to reduce admin burden on project teams.
• Adapt reporting structures during crises to provide high-frequency updates to leadership.
