Job summary

NHS Supply Chain is seeking a PPM Methodology & Assurance Specialist to provide independent oversight of the project portfolio and ensure governance standards are followed. You will bridge the gap between “doing projects” and “doing projects correctly,” giving senior leadership confidence that investments are managed properly.

This permanent hybrid role offers two on-site days per week across Nottingham/Alfreton/Sheffield/Wakefield and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong experience applying MoP, MSP, PRINCE2 and Agile/Hybrid to delivery teams.
• Ability to perform trend analysis and financial tracking on projects.
• Strong communication skills to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
• Experience in formal audits, peer reviews and gateway assessments.
• Expertise using data and technology to track, govern project components in real time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the PPM methodology and tooling for consistent delivery.
• Drive PPM best practice and standardised delivery performance.
• Develop and manage a rolling assurance activity schedule.
• Draft assurance reports and presentations with key recommendations.
• Identify recurring issues and implement process improvements.
• Improve decision-making and risk visibility through assurance activities.
• Optimise project tooling to streamline workflows and insights.
