Job summary

PA Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager/PMO specialist to guide complex projects across defence, major projects, and infrastructure. You’ll lead planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid UK setting, with a focus on delivering tangible client outcomes.

Join a Centre of Excellence delivering value for clients while mentoring junior staff and shaping governance across programmes. A strong PMO background and client-facing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in project management consulting/PMO or related roles.
• Experience applying various project management methodologies and tools and adapting them to diverse project contexts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to ensure successful delivery from initiation to closure.
• Develop and execute project plans with defined scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and timelines.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, and other methodologies as appropriate to different project contexts.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; implement mitigation strategies.
• Foster long-term client relationships with regular communication and transparent status updates.
• Monitor budgets and resource allocation to meet financial targets.
• Implement change management strategies to facilitate adoption of new solutions.
• Undertake stakeholder engagement activities and collaboration across participants.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
