Job summary

NHS Supply Chain in the United Kingdom is seeking a PPM Methodology & Assurance Specialist to lead independent oversight of the project portfolio. You will ensure initiatives align with governance standards and deliver value, bridging execution with proper governance.

You will shape the PPM methodology, drive best practice, and collaborate with senior leadership to tighten controls, reporting, and risk visibility across programmes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience applying MoP, MSP, PRINCE2 and Agile/Hybrid to delivery teams.
• Ability to perform trend analysis, financial tracking, and reviews of complex project data.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and improves the PPM methodology and tooling for consistent delivery across programmes.
• Drives PPM best practice and ensures teams follow standards.
• Develops a rolling schedule of assurance activities for high-priority projects.
• Drafts assurance reports and presentations with recommendations for stakeholders.
• Identifies recurring issues and implements process improvements to raise project maturity.
• Leads assurance activities to improve decision-making and risk visibility.
• Optimises project tooling to streamline workflows and provide reliable insights.
