Hampshire Trust Bank is a specialist bank, staffed by experts focused on helping UK businesses realise their ambitions.
We offer niche specialty lines, as a SME bank, targeting under-served segments. Our dedicated Wholesale Finance, Bridging Finance, Development Finance and Specialist Mortgages teams ensure that businesses receive the outstanding service, lasting relationships, integrity and expertise they need to prosper.
We also provide savings accounts to individuals and businesses and since we lend to SMEs, our savers can be sure their money will help boost the British economy. In this newly created role, the incoming Treasury Portfolio & Execution Manager will actively manage and optimise the bank’s treasury investment and derivative portfolio—including the identification, structuring, and dealing / execution of repo and reverse repo transactions, swap and FX transactions—to ensure liquidity, risk, and return objectives are met.
The role covers asset allocation, portfolio performance monitoring, and the development and execution of treasury strategies, with all activities conducted efficiently, collaboratively, and in compliance with the bank’s risk and regulatory framework.
Our incoming hire will work collaboratively with the ALM team to manage and optimise the bank’s cash position, ensuring that surplus liquidity is efficiently deployed to enhance returns while maintaining appropriate liquidity buffers and meeting all regulatory requirements. This includes jointly assessing daily and forward‑looking liquidity needs, identifying investable cash, and supporting the development of short‑term investment strategies aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and funding plan. This involves continuous market monitoring, maintaining strong relationships with external counterparties to secure competitive pricing, and ensuring all trades are executed efficiently and in line with best practices
