Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to lead the Portering Team across St James Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary. The role reports to the Facilities Operational Manager and requires hands-on leadership, performance management of supervisors, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure safe, efficient patient and goods movement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a large portering or facilities team in a healthcare setting.

Responsabilités

• Oversee Portering services across St James Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary.
• Supervise Portering Supervisors and staff; monitor performance and provide on-floor guidance.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and trust procedures.
• Support delivery of operational administrative systems and HR processes (sickness, capability, recruitment).
• Promote excellent industrial relations within the team and liaise with wider Facilities colleagues.
