Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Facilities Working Porter / Supervisor to oversee portering operations across designated sites. The role combines hands-on duties with day-to-day supervision to ensure safe, timely movement of patients, equipment and supplies.

The successful candidate will lead a small team, support apprenticeship programmes, and contribute to service resilience during busy periods and emergencies while collaborating with other Facilities Services teams

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Certificate in related Estates and Facilities discipline or equivalent
• Experience of working in the NHS
• Experience of supervisory management" or comparable proven practical experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver and supervise portering services across designated sites.
• Coordinate portering resources during periods of increased demand or emergencies.
• Act as point of contact for portering services on each site.
• Provide supervisory support and training to team members.
• Support the apprenticeship programme for Portering Services
