Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Portering Manager to lead a large Portering workforce across sites, ensuring a responsive, professional Portering service. You will drive service improvements while aligning with trust objectives and patient-focused care.

The role requires proven management experience in facilities/services, good budgeting and leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a complex NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Management qualification or equivalent experience in Facilities Services management at NVQ Level 4.
• Formal training or equivalent experience of Food Safety up to Level 4.
• COSHH, Infection Prevention Control.
• Health & Safety IOSH Management of Risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Portering team across sites to deliver a high-quality, efficient service.
• Translate Trust objectives into improved service delivery for patients and staff.
• Support the development and implementation of service improvement projects with defined targets.
