Job summary

NHS Professionals is recruiting a Porter/Courier for Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health Care NHS Trust at New Haven, Princess of Wales Community Hospital. You will provide portering and courier services across Trust sites during Monday to Friday 2pm–7:30pm.

The role is temporary; you must have a full driving licence, be physically fit, and able to work outdoors in all weather. Weekly pay and access to NHSP training are included.

• Previous portering or courier experience.
• Willingness and ability to drive between Trust sites.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Physically fit and able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport specimens, records, mail, medical equipment, and other items between departments and sites.
• Drive Trust vehicles to various locations within the organisation (full driving licence required).
• Support patient movement and delivery of meals, laundry, and waste services.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment in line with Trust policies.

Pay: £12.71, plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

You will play a key role in providing a professional, timely, and high-quality portering and courier service across our Trust sites.

About the Trust:

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is the main provider of mental health and learning disability services in Herefordshire and Worcestershire and also provide community nursing and therapy services in Worcestershire. They provide services for people of all ages, across a range of settings, experiencing both physical and/or mental health conditions across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. They are the main providers of mental health and learning disability services in both counties, and also deliver community hospitals, neighbourhood teams and community nursing services across Worcestershire. They have over 40 locations within Hospitals and clinic environments.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY ROLE

Job Duties
