Circle Health Group is recruiting a Porter at Werndale Hospital in Carmarthen to join the Portering team. This 30-hour per week, permanent role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

You will move patients, equipment and goods, assist with escorts and provide a courteous service while ensuring comfort, dignity and security across the hospital. The ideal candidate has front-line customer facing experience, a healthcare or hospitality background is beneficial, and GCSEs in Maths and English.

Qualifications

• Front line customer facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting would be beneficial.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members while escorting to rooms or other areas.
• Provide a courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity is maintained at all times.
• Provide security for the facility and follow security processes as required.

Salary: £24,947.11 FTE per year

Werndale Hospital in Carmarthen is part of Circle Health Group , Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Porter to join their team of staff in the Portering department.

This is a part time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks on a day-to-day basis to meet the requirements of the site such as patient, equipment, and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement.
• Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other hospital areas.
• Provide a courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.
• Provide security for the facility as required within each specific hospital, ensuring compliance of security processes and external patrols are covered as appropriate to the hospital.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Front line customer facing experience.
