Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
• Frontline customer-facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel, or hospitality setting (preferred).
• Driving licence essential.

Duties of this role include:

• Providing portering services that underpin clinical and non-clinical operations, ensuring effective and efficient service across the hospital.
• Responding positively to operational needs, with deployment across various facilities and areas as required. Varying shifts and routines are a core part of this role.
• Performing general and ad hoc tasks such as patient, equipment, and goods movement (e.g., pharmacy goods).
• Explaining hospital facilities and services to patients and their families when escorting them to rooms or other areas.
