Job summary

Lincoln Private Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is recruiting a Porter on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract in Lincoln. The role is 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern from Monday to Saturday.

Salary is £24,947 per year, with a range of staff benefits and a focus on patient care and hospital operations. The successful candidate will have front line customer facing experience, portering exposure in healthcare or similar settings, GCSEs in Maths and English, and strong

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks to meet site requirements.
• Escort patients to rooms or hospital areas and explain facilities and services.
• Provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity at all times.
• Provide security for the facility and comply with security processes.
• Complete mandatory training as required.

Lincoln Private Hospital is part of Circle Health Group , Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Porter to join their team of staff in thePorteringdepartment.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern. Candidates will work from Monday - Saturday.

Duties of this role include:

Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks on a day-to-day basis to meet the requirements of the site such as patient, equipment, and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement.

Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other hospital areas.

Provide a courteous service to internal and external customers.

Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.

Provide security for the facility as required within each specific hospital, ensuring compliance of security processes and external patrols are covered as appropriate to the hospital.

Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Front line customer facing experience.

Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting would be beneficial.

Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.

Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
