Circle Health Group's Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is seeking a Porter to join the Portering team on a 37.5-hour, full-time basis. The role pays £24,947 per year and requires flexible shifts.

You will undertake general tasks such as moving patients, equipment and pharmacy goods, assist with escorting patients around the hospital, and maintain high standards of patient comfort and service. A benefits package includes 25 days holiday, private healthcare, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Front line customer facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting would be beneficial.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks on a day-to-day basis to meet site requirements (movement of patients, equipment, and goods).
• Escort patients to rooms or other hospital areas and explain facilities and services.
• Provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity at all times.
• Provide security for the facility as required and ensure security processes are followed.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is part of Circle Health Group , Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Porter to join their team of staff in the Portering department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks on a day-to-day basis to meet the requirements of the site such as patient, equipment, and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement.
• Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other hospital areas.
• Provide a courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.
• Provide security for the facility as required within each specific hospital, ensuring compliance of security processes and external patrols are covered as appropriate to the hospital.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Front line customer facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting would be beneficial.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
