Spire Healthcare Dunedin is currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and professional Porter to join our dedicated team.

This key role ensures the smooth operation of our hospital by providing essential support to staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

1. Work as a multi-skilled team member, providing high-quality support across various duties including courier, portering, theatre, cleaning, and security, with minimal supervision.
2. Deliver excellent customer service and offer a friendly, reassuring presence to patients during potentially unsettling times.
3. Escort patients safely and perform duties such as managing post and deliveries, waste collection and disposal (including clinical waste), and movement of goods and equipment.
4. Perform additional tasks as required, being comfortable with the physical demands of the role.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, reassuring manner.
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with the role.

Working Hours and Contract

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including some weekends. Permanent contract.
