Job summary

Stafforce Ports is recruiting Port Operatives to assist with cargo handling and vessel operations at the Port of Hull. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced port environment, supporting quayside activities and terminal operations.

The role offers a variety of responsibilities, from assisting with vessel operations to gatehouse duties and industrial cleaning, providing an opportunity to develop valuable skills within the ports industry.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
• You will work across days, nights and weekends in a 12-hour shift pattern.
• Opportunities to train on specialist port equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Performing slinging and banking duties during vessel operations.
• Assisting with container handling and terminal activities.
• Lashing and rigging containers and cargo.
• Undertaking gatehouse duties and supporting vehicle movements.
• Carrying out industrial cleaning and general housekeeping.
• Supporting day-to-day cargo handling operations.
• Adhering to site health and safety procedures and maintaining high standards.
• Helping ensure port and logistics operations run safely and efficiently.
