Job summary

CLdN is seeking an Apprentice Port Operative in Killingholme. You will support cargo handling on and around our ships and within the port, while studying for a Level 2 Port Operations Apprenticeship fully funded by the company.

Role focuses on safety, equipment operation, and warehouse tasks, with a starting salary of £17,729 and regular increases. Driving license is desirable but not essential, and on-site parking is available.

Qualifications

• Study and pass a Level 2 Port Operations Apprenticeship.
• Pro-active approach to health & safety.
• Team player with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Using port equipment (e.g., terminal tractors/cranes/forklift) to handle cargo on/off ships and around the port.
• Follow health and safety procedures as laid out by the port.
• Use the internal Freight Management system to locate cargo around the port.
• Assist in mooring and unmooring of ships.
• Warehouse operations.
