Job summary

Bunge UK Limited’s Portland site in Dorset requires an Operations Lead to support the Site Manager in safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations. You will coordinate labour planning, vessel activity, reporting, and site communications in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on role focuses on people, plant, and processes while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance across all operations. You will work closely with the Maintenance Coordinator and Site Administrator to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Experience operating grain handling machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and Permit to Work (PTW).
• Experience leading teams in a high-demand port/logistics environment.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Manager in daily running of Portland site, coordinating labour and vessel activity.
• Coordinate labour planning, site readiness, and vessel discharge processes.
• Ensure documentation, reports and stock records are completed on time.
• Enforce health and safety standards and SSOW/PTW compliance across all operations.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Coordinator and Site Administrator on site activity and continuity.
• Provide hands-on operational support during daily activities and vessel discharges.
